Any excuse to read The New Yorker is a good one, and I find this article especially compelling on so many levels. It made me think about my own family – the one I grew up in and the one I created with my husband. It also made me reflect on solitude, loneliness and grief, as well as healing. Overall, it's an amazing story, well told. Plus, you can hear it read while you read along. Please share with me what strikes you the most.
